Top 10 Team Power Rankings (Week 12/1/18)

The past week of games see's another shuffle in this weeks power rankings. With multiple league's around the world still yet to resume full fixtures on a regular basis, there has been a shortage of teams that have seen significant increases or decreases in form and playing quality. However, WFC again presents the weeks Top 10 teams from around the world of football.

So here is the list,

From last week's Top 10 we see a shift in the top 3 teams. Manchester City once again remain in 1st position after dismantling Burnley 4-1 in the FA cup to continue their top form. Barcelona and PSG shift up positions into second and third spot, to both be once again ahead of Juventus after both won games with convincing scorelines. Juventus managed a win (1-0 over Cagliari) also but not in the way Barcelona and PSG played.

FC Porto move up one spot to break into the top 5 for the first time, as they leap a non-playing Bayern Munich after coming from behind in a 1-0 deficit to win 4-2 in league competition. They once again dominated play with 65% possession and a huge shot count.

We see Leicester, Liverpool and Chelsea drop out after less than convincing weeks, with new-comers Napoli, Lyon and Benfica entering the top 10 for the first time after all teams were successful in the weeks fixture match-ups. Napoli remain in 1st spot in their domestic Serie A league with a 2-0 win over Verona. Lyon beat Nancy 3-2 to continue their impressive seasonal form, where their attacking trident is one to be feared and Benfica managed a draw and a win throughout the week to remain in the Portuguese league title race.

Atletico Madrid rises in the rankings from last week's 10th placed rank, up to 8th after 2 wins in one week, where 5 goals were scored and no goals conceded. Atleticos form still needs to continue though if they are to put pressure on Barcelona in the league, who are currently in a runaway winners position.
