The Transfers - FPL Watchlist of New, Returning and Moving Talent: Season 2018/19

Here is WFC_17’s wrap-up of the EPL Summer transfer window for the 2018/19 season ahead, with the major and key transfer activities for each club so far, we highlight where players have come from, their position, some key stats and their FPL Potential Rating. An in depth analysis is presented for players with high FPL potential, that should be considered for team selections. Players will continually be added to the list as more transfers occur before the window closes and the season begins.

Arsenal

Lucas Torreira (€27mill)
Position Defensive Midfield
Age - 22
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Pescara (42), Sampdoria (74)
Career Goals - 13
Career Assists - 5
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10 Despite the price tag and the speculation around the classy midfielder, the expectation is that Torreira will play a similar role as Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny have in the past, thus producing similar FPL returns.

Bernd Leno (€22.5mill)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Stuttgart (57), Bayer Leverkusen (304)
Career Clean sheets – 115
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Dominating at Leverkusen in recent years between the sticks, this FPL rating goes on the fact that Leno will be the nailed on stater, ahead of Petr Cech. With a change in manager at Arsenal who is notorious for rotating his squads, there is still a hint of doubt in Leno’s potential. Could possibly become a points machine the same as David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois.

Sokratis (€14.4mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 30
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) AEK Athens (56), Niki Volos (11), Genoa (59), AC Milan (7), Werder Bremen (61), Borussia Dortmund (198)
Career Goals - 16
Career Assists - 6
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10

Matteo Guendouzi (€9mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 19
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Lorient (30)
Career Goals - 0
Career Assists - 0
FPL Potential Rating – 3/10

Stephan Lichtsteiner (free)
Position Right/Left Back
Age - 34
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Grasshopper (90), Lille (113), Lazio (117), Juventus (257)
Career Goals - 29
Career Assists - 46
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 Being listed as a £5.0 defender, Lichtsteiner has great potential as he will likely operate in an advanced position at wing back or in wide midfield roles. Collecting clean-sheet points, while contributing in scoring plays spells good news for managers looking to get a balanced squad without forking out the extra £0.5-£1.5 for other defenders like Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Kyle Walker and Antonio Valencia who all play similar positions.

Bournemouth

David Brooks (€10.17mill)
Position Attacking Midfield
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Halifax Town (5), Sheffield United (38)
Career Goals - 4
Career Assists - 9
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10

Diego Rico (€13.5mill)
Position Left Back
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Real Zaragoza (106), Leganes (58)
Career Goals - 9
Career Assists 10
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Brighton

Alireza Jahanbakhsh (€17.1mill)
Position Right Wing
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Damash Tehran (12), Damash Gilan (50), NEC (64), AZ Alkmaar (111)
Career Goals - 68
Career Assists - 54
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10 Amongst the goals and assists in the past, this will have to continue for Jahanbackhsh to be a good pick-up in FPL. He has potential, but at £7.0 if he doesn’t produce there are many other options to select and not waste the budget. He isn’t even a worthy keep as a fifth midfielder at the price.

Bernardo (€9mill)
Position Left back
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) RB Brasil (6), Liefering (1), RB Salzburg (26), RB Leipzig (47)
Career Goals - 4
Career Assists - 3
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Florin Andone (€6mill)
Position Centre Forward
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Castellon (4), Athletico Baleares (34), Cordoba (50), Deportivo La Coruna (69)
Career Goals - 59
Career Assists - 14
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Percy Tau (undisclosed)
Position Striker
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Mamelodi Sundowns (33), Witbank Spurs (11)
Career Goals - 24
Career Assists - 27
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Yves Bissouma (undisclosed)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Lille (55)
Career Goals - 4
Career Assists - 1
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10

David Button (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 29
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Tottenham (1), Grays Athletic (24), Rochdale (0), Bournemouth (4), Luton Town (0), Dagenham and Redbridge (3), Crewe Alexandria (10), Shrewsbury (26), Plymouth Argyle (30), Leyton Orient (2), Doncaster (8), Barnsley (9), Charlton Athletic (6), Brentford (141), Fulham (61)
Career Clean sheets – 80
FPL Potential Rating – 1/10

Jason Steele (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Middlesbrough (142), Northampton (13), Blackburn (120), Sunderland (18)
Career Clean sheets – 69
FPL Potential Rating – 3/10

Leon Balogun (free)
Position Centre Back
Age - 30
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Hannover 96 (3), Werder Bremen (3), Fortuna Dusseldorf (28), Darmstadt 98 (22), Mainz (52)
Career Goals - 15
Career Assists - 2
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Burnley

No transfers as of yet

Cardiff

Bobby Reid (€11.2mill)
Position Attacking Midfield
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Bristol City (158), Cheltenham Town (1), Oldham (7), Plymouth Argyle (35)
Career Goals - 32
Career Assists - 28
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 With 19 goals last season, along with 7 assists, Bobby Reid can light up the EPL should Cardiff be solid for a prompted side like other Championship sides have done in the past. Classified as a forward is the only detriment to FPL prospects but at £5.5 he is a decent third forward option for rotation.

Alex Smithies (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 28
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Huddersfield (274), QPR (109)
Career Clean sheets – 90
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Greg Cunningham (undisclosed)
Position Left Back
Age - 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Manchester City (5), Leicester (13), Nottingham Forest (28), Bristol (107), Preston North End (111)
Career Goals - 10
Career Assists - 26
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Josh Murphy (undisclosed)
Position Left Wing
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Norwich (100), Wigan (5), Milton Keynes Dons (46)
Career Goals - 51
Career Assists - 36
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10 Excellent at dribbling and taking on players down the flanks, Josh Murphy could threaten many defences. Despite being a relatively weak finisher he has racked up a good career goal tally due to the amount of opportunities he creates.

Chelsea

Jorginho (€51.3mill)
Position Defensive Midfield
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Sambonifacese (33), Verona (96), Napoli (160)
Career Goals - 17
Career Assists - 22
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10

Rob Green (free)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 38
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Norwich (241), West Ham (241), QPR (128), Leeds (48), Huddersfield (0)
Career Clean sheets – 181
FPL Potential Rating – 2/10

Crystal Palace

Vincente Guaita (free)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 31
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Valencia (114), Recreativo (31), Getafe (112)
Career Clean sheets – 77
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10

Everton

Richarlison (€40.5mill)
Position Left Wing
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) America Mineiro (24), Fluminense (67), Watford (41)
Career Goals - 25
Career Assists - 16
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 Last season’s surprise package as a midfield option, he provided decent returns for managers. Moving to Everton can push the young Brazilian to bigger heights as more scoring involvements is expected. A £6.5 option that is likely to play in a very advanced position, rotation is the only factor that doesn’t make this option worthwhile.

Fulham

Jean Michael Seri (€17mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Pacos de Ferreira (68), Nice (123)
Career Goals - 16
Career Assists - 34
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10 A powerful midfielder for his small stature, Seri excels at passing and playing team-mates into scoring chances. His creative array of passing ability could see him grab assists and pick up bonus points. Seri as a fifth midfield option is a very good look

Maxime Le Marchand (€17mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 28
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Le Havre (175), Nice (77)
Career Goals - 7
Career Assists - 5
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Fabri (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 30
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Deportivo (12), Valladolid (3), Recreativo (41), Real Betis (19), Deportivo (39), Besiktas (86)
Career Clean sheets – 61
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10 Despite being a goalkeeper on a promoted side and a tough ask to keep clean-sheets, Fabri could be a good shout for a rotation option.

Andre Schurrle (loan)
Position Left Wing
Age - 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Mainz 04 (68), Bayer Leverkusen (83), Chelsea (65), Wolfsburg (63), Borussia Dortmund (51)
Career Goals - 78
Career Assists - 46
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Possibly the best looking signing of the EPL and FPL season, Schurrle at £6.0 is an absolute steal. Despite being listed as a midfielder, the German might play as a second striker. Averaging 2 shots on target per game last season to go with 1.1 key passes and 1.3 successful take-ons, Schurrle could allow FPL managers to free up funds for other premiums, while playing at a premium price level himself.

Huddersfield

Ramadan Sobhi (€5.85mill)
Position Left Midfield
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Al Ahly (71), Stoke (46)
Career Goals - 21
Career Assists - 18
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Florent Hadergjonaj (€5mill permanent move)
Position Right Back
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Young Boys (86), FC Ingolstadt (27), Huddersfield (27)
Career Goals - 4
Career Assists - 19
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Adama Diakhaby (undisclosed)
Position Striker
Age - 22
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Rennes (25), Monaco (22)
Career Goals - 8
Career Assists - 3
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Erik Durm (undisclosed)
Position Right Back
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Mainz (33), Borussia Dortmund II (32), Borussia Dortmund (91)
Career Goals - 17
Career Assists - 15
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Having big game experience can play a factor in Durm’s contribution this season. Not going to be flustered by the Premier League pace or power and likely a starter could spell good news for FPL managers. A price of £4.5 for a defender allows for good options elsewhere. Strong at interceptions and early crosses into the box is good for FPL points.

Juninho Bacuna (undisclosed)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 20
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Groningen (93)
Career Goals 4
Career Assists - 10
FPL Potential Rating – 3/10

Terence Kongolo (undisclosed permanent move)
Position Centre Back
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Feyenoord (138), Monaco (6), Huddersfield (17)
Career Goals - 6
Career Assists - 9
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Jonas Lössl (undisclosed permanent move)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 29
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) FC Midtjylland (137), Guingamp (82), Mainz (34), Huddersfield (40)
Career Clean sheets – 89
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Making a permanent move gives Lössl some stability in his career status. Racking up 135 points in last season’s campaign due to 10 clean-sheets and 11 bonus points. No price rise from last season, Lössl remains at £4.5 and could continue his points return indefinitely as Huddersfield continue to strengthen all over.

Leicester

James Maddison (€22.5mill)
Position Attacking Midfield
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Coventry City (31), Norwich (51), Coventry (11), Aberdeen (17)
Career Goals - 24
Career Assists - 26
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 A fantastic passer, dribbler and set piece taker, Maddison could be the FPL find of the season if he takes his chance in the big league. He scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists in the championship last season from 2.6 shots on target and 2.8 key passes per game. Coming into a counter-attack-centric Leicester side built around Jamie Vardy’s pace, Maddison could fill the shoes that the departed Riyad Mahrez has left.

Ricardo Pereira (€22mill)
Position Right Back
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Vitoria Guimaraes (38), Porto (76), Nice (57)
Career Goals - 14
Career Assists - 20
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Danny Ward (€12.6 mill)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Wrexham (0), Tamworth (1), Liverpool (3), Morecambe (5), Aberdeen (29), Huddersfield (46)
Career Clean sheets – 31
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 This rating is estimated on the fact that Kasper Schmeichel could be exiting the club. If Schmeichel does leave, Ward will become the new number 1 and with a solid backline forming with Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans, Benjamin Chilwell and Ricardo Pereira, clean-sheets look on the cards

Jonny Evans (€4mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 30
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Royal Antwerp (14), Sunderland (35), Manchester United (198), West Brom (95)
Career Goals - 16
Career Assists - 11
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 The Leicester defence could be set for good things this season and that will be to the benefit of FPL managers and the returns that Evans can provide.

Liverpool

Alisson (€75mill)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Internacional (115), Roma (64)
Career Clean sheets – 49
FPL Potential Rating – 9/10 With the defensive struggles Liverpool had last season at times, they still managed 17 clean-sheets spread between Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet. The signing of Alisson spells even better news for FPL managers as currently – barring injury, Alisson should be nailed on for 38 fixtures between the sticks, possibly equating to 16-20 clean-sheets (96-120 points). An excellent shot stopper and possessing an exceptional passing ability from the back, Alisson can easily reach the points return heights of Premier League front runner David De Gea.

Naby Keita (€60mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) FC Istres (23), RB Salzburg (81), RB Leipzig (71)
Career Goals - 41
Career Assists - 35
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 An ultra team player that works tirelessly in attack and defence with the flair and technical skills to provide scoring chances and snapping up opportunities himself. A very strong shooter with 1.6 shots per game last season, Keita is looking likely to start in an advanced midfield role behind the front 3 and support Roberto Firmino in and around the box. For £7.5 he is promising to be a bargain that can play well above his value.

Fabinho (€45mill)
Position Defensive Midfield
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Fluminense (0), Real Madrid Castilla (30), Real Madrid (1), Monaco (233)
Career Goals - 33
Career Assists - 23
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 Predominantly playing defensively in midfield there is still potential on offer as the Brazilian can drive into the box and switch up positions to a wing back role. Being a penalty taker might be worth grabbing Fabinho (£6.0) as a rotation 5th midfielder.

Xerdan Shaqiri (€13.23mill)
Position Right Wing
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) FC Basel (139), Bayer Munich (81), Inter Milan (20), Stoke (92)
Career Goals - 66
Career Assists - 63
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10

Manchester City

Riyad Mahrez (€68mill)
Position Right Wing
Age - 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Quimper (27), Le Havre (127), Leicester (179)
Career Goals - 59
Career Assists - 50
FPL Potential Rating – 9/10 The Algerian rekindled past form last season and ended up being one of the best midfield options in all of FPL. Moving to City will see him have a high potential for scoring involvements, but rotation could make him an unreliable option to spend £9.0 on. City have Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, David Sliva, Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sanè, Ilkay Gundogan and now Mahrez in midfield along with Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero up front. That equates to 9 top tier players for only 6 starting spots. Guardiola doesn’t care about the money he spends on players and doesn’t feel pressure to play big signings. Select at your own risk.

Manchester United

Fred (€53mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Internacional (55), Shakhtar Donetsk (156)
Career Goals - 22
Career Assists - 22
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 Could be a useful FPL asset if he presses in the box and creates chances. If he remains deep he could just become a Kantè-like player in FPL. Really good in reality but it doesn’t translate into points returns.

Diogo Dalot (€19mill)
Position Right Back
Age - 19
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Porto (8)
Career Goals - 2
Career Assists - 2
FPL Potential Rating – 4/10

Lee Grant (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 35
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Derby (79), Burnley (1), Oldham (16), Sheffield Wednesday (145), Burnley (126), Derby (107), Stoke (35)
Career Clean sheets – 131
FPL Potential Rating – 2/10

Newcastle

Martin Dubravka (€4mill permanent move)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 29
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Zilina (127), Esbjerg (75), Slovan Liberec (28), Sparta Prague (15), Newcastle (12)
Career Clean sheets – 93
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Fabian Schar (€3.3mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) FC Wil (56), FC Basel (114), Hoffenheim (32), Deportivo (27)
Career Goals - 27
Career Assists - 11
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Kenedy (Loan)
Position Left Midfield
Age - 22
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Fluminense (40), Chelsea (27), Watford (1), Newcastle (13)
Career Goals - 7
Career Assists - 11
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 An exciting prospect to take a punt on. Powerful down the left flank, Kenedy is very strong at crossing the ball and taking set pieces. Given the playing time he could produce goals and assists and perform as Richarlison did in 2017/18.

Ki Sung-yeung (Free)
Position Defensive Midfield
Age - 29
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) FC Seoul (93), Celtic (87), Swansea (160), Sunderland (34)
Career Goals - 28
Career Assists - 29
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Southampton

Yannick Vestergaard (€20mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Hoffenheim (82), Werder Bremen (54), Borussia Monchengladbach (83)
Career Goals - 16
Career Assists - 5
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10 A solid Southampton backline all over could be a catalyst for FPL returns as last season’s debacle has lowered player values. However, should they not click, defensive points will be hard for Vestergaard to pick up.

Mohamed Elyounoussi (€18mill)
Position Left Wing
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Sarpsborg (69), Molde (93), FC Basel (84)
Career Goals - 83
Career Assists - 49
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 One of WFC’s hidden gem’s of the season. Elyounoussi just can’t stop being involved in scoring plays over his career, that has moved through 3 different clubs. 132 involvements in 264 games equates to a contribution every 2 games. Southampton are likely to play a lot through him whether he plays out wide or partnering Austin up front. A decent opening 5 fixtures could see the Norwegian hit the ground running.

Angus Gunn (€10.17mill)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 22
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Manchester City (0), Norwich (51)
Career Clean sheets – 16
FPL Potential Rating – 1/10

Stuart Armstrong (€7.16mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Dundee United (149), Celtic (142)
Career Goals - 49
Career Assists - 56
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10

Tottenham

No transfers as of yet

Watford

Gerard Deulofeu (€13mill permanent move)
Position Right Wing
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Barcelona B (68), Barcelona (6), Everton (29), Sevilla (28), Everton (46), AC Milan (18), Barcelona (17), Watford (7)
Career Goals - 45
Career Assists - 40
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 In and out of a lot of squads, the young Spaniard has finally settled on a permanent move to the Premier League. With pace and trickery, he possesses the ability to provide great FPL returns from scoring involvements and racking up BPS scoring. However, this has been lacking in the past. Look for Deulofeu to step-up this season and contribute enough to be a worthy selection.

Adam Masina (€4.5mill)
Position Left Back
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Giacomense (15), Bologna (124)
Career Goals - 8
Career Assists - 7
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Marc Navarro (€1.8mill)
Position Right Back
Age - 23
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Espanyol B (44), Espanyol (36)
Career Goals - 10
Career Assists - 4
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Ben Foster (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 35
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Stoke (0), Bristol (0), Tiverton Town (16), Stafford Rangers (1), Kidderminster Harriers (2), Wrexham (21), Manchester United (23), Watford (81), Birmingham (43), West Brom (223)
Career Clean sheets – 107
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Ken Sema (undisclosed)
Position Left Midfield
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) IF Sylvia (22), Ljungskile SK (70), Ostersunds FK (79)
Career Goals - 28
Career Assists - 45
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

West Ham

Felipe Anderson (€34.2mill)
Position Right Wing
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Santos (106), Lazio (177)
Career Goals - 41
Career Assists - 55
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Despite dropping off in quality since his first season in the Serie A, Anderson finished last season with 4 goal and 7 assists from just 21 games (9 starts). With the way the Hammers are setting up, Anderson could re-capture form and be a major contributor to a successful season. His partnership with Marko Arnautovic will be vital.

Issa Diop (€22.5mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Toulouse (85)
Career Goals - 6
Career Assists - 3
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 An absolute defensive powerhouse, Diop could be the contributing factor to many clean-sheets this season for West Ham. The backline looks to be shaped nicely, and with Diop’s attacking threat off set pieces (3 goals last season) he could produce FPL returns in the range of 115-130 points similar to those of Jan Vertonghen, Chris Smalling and Harry Maguire did last season.

Lukasz Fabianski (€6.8mill)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 33
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Lech Poznan (1), Legia Warsaw (62), Arsenal (78), Swansea (150)
Career Clean sheets – 92
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10

Fabian Balbuena (€3.6mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Cerro Porteno (76), Rubio Nu (17), Nacional (42), Libertad (55), Corinthians (120)
Career Goals - 6
Career Assists - 2
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10

Andriy Yarmolenko (undisclosed)
Position Right Wing
Age - 28
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Dynamo Kyiv (341), Borussia Dortmund (26)
Career Goals - 143
Career Assists - 96
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 Yarmolenko is in the same mould as other Hammer signing Felipe Anderson. The Swedish scoring wizard loves to cut in front wide positions and have a hit from distance, averaging 1.7 shots per game last season. To add to this, his crossing and through passing ability is also a very strong trait of his, having 2.4 shot assists per 90 minutes over the last season. Priced the same as Anderson, FPL managers now have 3 attacking options to select (Yarmolenko, Anderson, Arnautovic) from West Ham.

Jack Wilshere (Free)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 26
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Bolton (14), Arsenal (197), Bournemouth (27)
Career Goals - 16
Career Assists - 37
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Ryan Fredericks (free)
Position Right Back
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Tottenham (4), Brentford (5), Millwall (14), Middlesbrough (19), Bristol (5), Fulham (114)
Career Goals - 1
Career Assists - 17
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Wolverhampton

Benik Afobe (€14.2mill permanent move)
Position Striker
Age - 25
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Arsenal (0), Huddersfield (35), Reading (3), Bolton (23), Millwall (5), Sheffield Wednesday (13), Milton Keynes Dons (30), Wolverhampton (48), Bournemouth (70), Wolverhampton (16)
Career Goals - 77
Career Assists - 28
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Diogo Jota (€14mill permanent move)
Position Left Wing
Age - 21
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Pacos Ferreira (45), Atletico Madrid (0), Porto (37), Wolverhampton (46)
Career Goals - 45
Career Assists - 27
FPL Potential Rating – 7/10 Attacking dynamo for the Wolves last season, FPL managers will be hoping this continues or even elevates to higher levels on the Premier League stage. 17 goals and 5 assists from 2.7 shots and 1.2 key passes per game, along with 2.4 successful take-ons last season is a major contribution. Even if Jota only produces half this impact and is nailed on for 38 games, that will still translate to 122 FPL points with the added incentive of Bonus points to add to that. For £6.5 there aren’t too many better options.

Willy Boly (€12mill)
Position Centre Back
Age - 27
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Auxerre (113), Braga (44), Porto (7)
Career Goals - 9
Career Assists - 4
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Joao Moutinho (€5mill)
Position Centre Midfield
Age - 31
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Sporting CP (259), Porto (140), Monaco (211)
Career Goals - 48
Career Assists - 96
FPL Potential Rating – 6/10

Leo Bonatini (€3.6mill permanent move)
Position Centre Forward
Age - 24
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Cruzeiro (0), Goias (27), Estoril (53), Al-Hilal (35), Wolverhampton (47)
Career Goals - 56
Career Assists - 16
FPL Potential Rating – 5/10

Rui Patricio (undisclosed)
Position Goalkeeper
Age – 30
Previous Clubs/ (Appearances) Sporting CP (467)
Career Clean sheets – 179
FPL Potential Rating – 8/10 The potential for Patricio to produce this season is limitless. He is likely going to get a lot of work and saves to make over the course of the season, but he can be a good shot stopper at times. Last season saw 3 of the top 5 FPL goalkeepers playing for teams considered in the bracket of weak Premier League teams. Lukasz Fabianski (Swansea), Nick Pope (Burnley) and Mat Ryan (Brighton) all produced 146 FPL points or more. This is the range that Patricio should be aiming for, and being listed at £4.5 this will be an exceptional pick-up for FPL managers.
