Seb’s Wildcard Watchlist

Goalkeepers

Locked in:

None

Potential Picks:

Bernd Leno (£4.8 – 1.3%)

·        With Cech injured, Leno is a cheap route into an Arsenal defence with back-to-back clean sheets
·        Favourable upcoming fixtures

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.5 – 13.3%)

·        Leading the competition for saves made
·   Have been very impressed with the West Ham defence in the last two gameweeks
·        Will rotate well with Leno

Ederson (£5.7 – 24.6%)

·        Set and forget
·        Best defence in the league
·        Will mean that I won’t be able to get all three of Mendy, Sterling/De Bruyne, and Agüero

Defenders

Locked in:

Andy Robertson (£6.3 – 27.2%)

·        Liverpool have equal best defence in the league
·        He is a huge attacking threat
·        Upcoming fixtures are amazing

Kieran Trippier (£6.1 – 30.1%)

·        Favourable fixtures
·        Has registered attacking returns in 4/6 games this season
·        On set pieces

Matt Doherty (£4.5 – 3.7%)

·        Very advanced wing-back – high ceiling
·        Wolves have only conceded 2 goals in their past 5 games
·        As a Wolves fan, I love watching this guy play

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.3 – 30.0%)

·        Averages 5.6 points per match, with a -2 and a 0
·   Despite tough fixtures from GW10-13, a £4.3 defender as good as Wan-BEASTaka is too good to sell, especially since I had him from the start of the season

Potential Picks:

Trent Alexander Arnold (£5.1 – 20.3%)

·        Liverpool will probably keep a clean sheet most weeks for the month or so
·        Will provide a base of 6, with occasional 2 pointers, but a ceiling of 10+
·        Gets forward and takes free-kicks
·        TAA and Robertson together may be better than a Liverpool double in attack

José Holebas (£4.9 – 20.6%)

·        On set-pieces
·        15 chances created
·       His upcoming fixtures offer potential for both defensive and attacking returns
·        Will allow me to possibly double up on Liverpool attack in the future
·        Has 4 yellow cards

Midfielders

Locked in:

Eden Hazard (£11.1 – 38.6%)

·        Best player in the league at the moment
·        Fixture proof

Potential Picks:

Raheem Sterling (£11.0 – 4.0%)

·        Has only blanked once this season
·      Sterling has had a shot every 24.4 minutes, and has created a chance every 28.5 minutes
·        Differential
·        Possible rotation option once the fixtures come thick and fast
·        As I think I want De Bruyne when he’s fit, it may block me from picking up Mendy and Agüero

Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.8 – 1.2%)

·      Has looked really threatening over the past three weeks – 2 goals, 1 assist, and could have easily scored another couple of goals in the period
·        Favourable upcoming fixtures
·        West Ham’s attack is exciting

Richarlison (£6.7 – 21.4%)

·        Has been a constant threat in each game he’s played
·        Everton have a mixed bag of upcoming fixtures

James Maddison (£6.9 – 13.6%)

·        Has provided attacking returns in the past 4 games
·        All of Leicester’s attack goes through Maddison
·        Favourable upcoming fixtures
·        Set piece wizard
·    Some say he has got lucky with his returns this season, either scoring/assisting via deflection or set pieces, not from open play

Roberto Pereyra (£6.3 – 15.0%)

·        Scored in both of his favourable home matches so far this season
·        Watford play Bournemouth and Huddersfield at home in their next three
·        Fixtures turn poor the same week I’d want to get KdB

Anthony Knockaert (£5.5 – 1.0%)

·        Doesn’t have a tough fixture until GW17
·        Starting every game so far, Knockaert looks rejuvenated this season,
·        Has only blanked 2 times in his past 6 games

Forwards

Locked in:

Harry Kane (£12.4 – 27.0%)

·        Looks almost back to his best
·        Guaranteed 90 minutes every week
·   Kane will probably have many chances to score against Tottenham’s upcoming opponents

Roberto Firmino (£9.4 – 24.1%)

·        Liverpool are about to embark on an extremely appealing fixture run
·        Bobby has quietly gone about his business, registering 2 goals and 2 assists
·        Has looked very sharp
·     Started last season slowly, sparked an amazing form spell around this time last season

Potential Picks:

Sergio Agüero (£11.4 – 52.6%)

·        Best striker in the league
·        Has only blanked once this season
·        Most shots in the league
·        Pep’s latest comments that he is carrying an injury concern me
·        Has only averaged 59 minutes per game over the last three weeks
·        Sterling could be better
·        Some tough fixtures coming up

Marko Arnautovic (£6.9 – 14.3%)

·        Has only blanked twice this season
·        Is averaged 6.0 points per game
·       Arnie could potentially register attacking returns in every game for the rest of the year (not saying he will)

Luciano Vietto (£5.5 – 0.8%)

·        Has looked very sharp over the past few weeks
·        Has missed two big chances in two games, so he’s getting into great areas
·        Fulham have some tasty fixtures in the next couple of months

Raúl Jiménez (£5.6 – 6.1%)

·        Registered a shot every 27.8 minutes, with 10 shots on target
·        Has also created 9 chances
·        Scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists so far
·        Wolves are playing like a top 6 side
·        Very consistent attacking threat
